No seré una hormiga que come manzanas podridas

John Lennon dijo:

"Cuando yo tenía 5 años, mi madre me decía que la felicidad era la clave de la vida. Cuando fui a la escuela, me preguntaron qué quería ser cuando yo fuera grande. Yo respondí "Feliz". Me dijeron que yo no entendía la pregunta, y yo les respondí, que ustedes no entendían la vida".

Considero que existen pocas reflexiones tan buenas como esta, John Lennon tenía toda la razón, lo importante en esta vida es ser feliz, todo lo demás es secundario. Por este motivo, debemos enfocar todos nuestros objetivos para lograr la felicidad, a pesar de no saber muy bien cómo podríamos definirla.

Pues bien, parece ser que a la mayoría de personas se les ha olvidado el sentido de sus vidas. Se levantan, van a trabajar, hacen las tareas del hogar y tienen en mente alguna que otra preocupación. En todas estas acciones les falta algo, la ilusión y replantearse más la socialización enfocada hacia la felicidad. La mayoría de estas terminarán amargadas porque seguramente ni si quiera se han parado a pensar si de verdad les gusta su trabajo, si de verdad les gusta su día a día, si de verdad tratan de ser felices.

A diario solemos cruzarnos con este tipo de personas, en las aulas, en los autobuses, en las tiendas, en la consulta del médico... en cualquier oficio. Pase lo que pase no les culpes de no sonreír, les entiendo, llevan muchos años viviendo sin ser felices en su trabajo, sin desarrollar su creatividad, sin luchar y esforzarse por mejorar, ya que su trabajo no es motivante para ellos. Yo he trabajado en diferentes trabajos, como cajera o camarera y al principio estás bien porque al fin y al cabo no es un trabajo de obra pero con el paso de los días te sientes como una hormiga trabajadora, la cual trabaja por pura obligación, poco a poco va molestando hacer la mínima tontería. No me imaginaría toda mi vida así, tampoco me lo puedo imaginar porque no dejaré que pase.

Es cierto que hoy en día dependemos de nuestro trabajo, pero es el momento de elegir qué tipo de trabajo queremos para nuestra vida, qué nos apetece hacer. En mi caso, siempre he soñado con poder llegar a ser profesora de educación primaria. El primer paso ya lo he dado, finalicé mis estudios, el día que pueda trabajar de ello seré la persona más feliz de este planeta, solo en las prácticas educativas que pude realizar los años anteriores ya me llenaban de felicidad y ganas de seguir luchando. Existe una gran diferencia entre trabajar por obligación y trabajar porque encuentras motivación.

La motivación, esa que poco a poco se ha ido alejando de nuestras vidas porque desde pequeños intentan eliminarla tratando de convertir a los niños en adultos de manera precoz. Esa motivación, esa espontaneidad, no debería dejarse ir jamás, todo lo contrario, dentro de cualquier cincuentón o cincuentona debería seguir existiendo un toque infantil, seguir disfrutando de los pequeños detalles de la vida y sonreír por todas las tonterías que se pueda.

Me hace gracia que los padres quieran que sus hijos estudien algo por obligación, como si la vida de sus hijos fuera a ser más feliz así. Perdonen, sus hijos tienen que construir su felicidad, vosotros ya construisteis la vuestra, en el caso que os dejaran. Estaría bien que en lugar de ello consiguierais que vuestros hijos descubran sus inquietudes, muchas veces las tenemos ocultas. No importa si quieren dedicarse a escribir, actuar, bailar, enseñar, cocinar, estudiar una carrera, viajar en el espacio... Vida solo hay una y es importante luchar por lo que uno quiere, ya que esta lucha también es bonita si de verdad se quiere llegar al final. Y cuando se llega al final entonces eres feliz, eres feliz porque día a día no estas forzado a una cadena llamada trabajo.

También existen estudiantes que deciden guiar su vida hacia una carrera que de más dinero. Sí, es cierto, quizás el día de mañana puedan tener más dinero que cualquier otra que haya estudiado lo que le motiva, pero ellos no podrán comprar ni con todo el dinero de un año trabajado la felicidad que tendrá la segunda en un solo día trabajando. Aquí está la cuestión, hay gente que prefiere el dinero, como si este le fuera a dar toda la felicidad que necesitan, podrán comprar algunos momentos de felicidad pero no servirán de nada si cada día no existen fuerzas para ser feliz en el trabajo.

Por otro lado, es cierto, cualquier persona tiene días malos en su trabajo, eso no se puede negar. Pero una cosa son días malos y otra cosa es ir comiendo sin hambre todos los días de una manzana que está PODRIDA, llegará un día en el que toda esa manzana se vomite y escupa al resto de compañeros, e incluso a nuestra propia felicidad. Les aseguro que no será agradable para nadie. Os invito a dejar esa manzana y elegir aquella fruta que más os guste, sin presión, solo cuando tengáis hambre.

Y el caso es que quizás sea ese el secreto de la felicidad, no volcar toda nuestra vida en el trabajo, y en los momentos que lo tengamos que hacer haber escogido nuestro futuro empleo en función de nuestras inquietudes no de aquello que nos quieran inculcar o hayamos empezado solo por dinero.

I think there are so few good thoughts like this, John Lennon was right, the important thing in this life is to be happy, everything else is secondary. Therefore, we must focus all our goals for happiness, despite not really knowing how we could define.

Well, it seems that most people have forgotten the meaning of their lives. They get up, they go to work, do housework and have in mind some other concern. In all these actions they lack something, enthusiasm and socialization rethink more focused on happiness. Most of these end up embittered because surely not even have stopped to think if they really like their jobs, if they really like their day to day, if they really try to be happy.

Every day we usually coming across such people, in classrooms, on buses, in shops, in the doctor's office ... in any job. Whatever happens don't blame them not to smile, I understand them, they have spent many years living without being happy in their work, without developing their creativity, without struggle and strive to improve, because their work is not motivating for them. I have worked in different jobs like cashier or waitress and initially it is well because, but over the days you feel like a worker ant, which works by sheer obligation bit a little goes bothering to do the minimum nonsense. I don't imagine my life as this ant, so I can not imagine me because I will not let it pass.

It's true that today we depend on our work, but it's time to choose what kind of work we want for our lives, what we want to do. In my case, I have always dreamed of becoming a primary school teacher. The first step I have already given, I finished my university studies, the day I could work as teacher I will be the happiest person on this planet, only in the educational practices that I could do the previous years it filled me with happiness and desire to keep fighting. There is a difference between working for duty and work because you find motivation.

Motivation, that gradually has been moving away from our lives because small attempt to remove it from trying to turn children into adults early. That motivation, that spontaneity shouldn't be ever be quite the opposite, in every fifty or fifty-should continue to be, a child touch, continue to enjoy the small details of life and smile at all the nonsense you can.

It's funny that parents want their children to study something out of obligation, as if the lives of their children were to be happier as well. Excuse me, your children have to build their happiness, you built yours one, in case you could do it. It would be nice instead to try your children discover their concerns, many times we have it hidden. No matter if they want to pursue writing, acting, dancing, teaching, cooking, a career, travel in space... There is only one life and it's important to fight for what you want, because this fight is also nice if really you want to reach the end. And when it reaches the end then you're happy, you're happy because every day you're not forced into a chain called work.

There are also students who choose to guide their lives toward a career for obtain more money. Yes, it's true, perhaps tomorrow may they have more money than any other who has studied for motivation, but the firt group couldn't buy, even with all the money a year working the happiness that the second group will have in one day working. Here's the question, some people prefer the money, as if this were to give their all the happiness they need, they could buy a few moments of happiness but it isn't avail if every day there aren't forces to be happy at work.

On the other hand, it's true, anyone has bad days at work, it couldn't be denied. But one thing is bad days and another thing to be eating without hunger every day of an rotten apple, there will come a day when all will be vomit and spit apple to other colleagues, and even our own happiness. I assure you it wouldn't be pleasant for anyone. I invite you to leave that apple and choose the one fruit that you like, no pressure, just when you have hunger.

And the fact is that this may be the secret of happiness, don't put all our lives at work, and at times we have to do job choosing our future based on our concerns not what we want to instill or we have begun just for money.

Del metro bajo tierra a la mente bajo tumba

Hola de nuevo, me gustaría compartir con todos vosotros un suceso del martes, a partir del cual podemos reflexionar sobre la educación. El caso es que había cogido el metro para dirigirme a mi trabajo como cada día, en este caso estaba leyendo un libro. Se sentó a mi lado un matrimonio y dejaron a su hijo, de unos 2-3 años, en el carro frenado, como a unos dos metros de distancia. Al poco tiempo el niño empezó a llorar. En ese momento levanté los ojos de mi libro y observé al niño, quería salir del carro y la madre estaba ya dispuesta a desatarlo.

Todo seguido, el niño se acercó a sus padres pero no sabía donde sentarse. Seguidamente me levanté y le dejé mi asiento, me quedé de pie agarrada al típico palo de hierro. Ahora era el niño el que parecía estar leyendo, no dejaba de mirarme como si yo me hubiera convertido en el libro que había dejado de leer por estar de pie.

Después de dos paradas pasó algo que no esperaba, subió una señora mayor y la madre del niño le quería ceder su asiento pero la anciana le dijo que no hacia falta. Acto seguido, el niño que quizás no llegaba a los 3 años de edad se levantó del asiento sin decir ninguna palabra, miro a la anciana para que se diera cuenta que ya había un asiento libre y por último se sentó encima de su madre.

Quizás consideréis que es una tontería, para mí no lo fue. En ese momento me di cuenta que el gesto de haberme levantado no solo había sido para que el niño tuviera un asiento al lado de su madre sinó que en ese momento también le había enseñado que cuando alguien necesita algo más que nosotros mismos debemos estar dispuestos a ayudar en todo lo que esté a nuestro alcance. Sobre todo, me pareció sorprendente que aquello se convirtiera en una cadena y mucho más que esta había terminado con la acción de un niño que casi no sabía expresarse al hablar.

Aparte de todo lo bonito y reflexivo que tiene esta pequeña experiencia podemos mirar mucho más allá y trasladar esta idea hacia la educación en general. Las escuelas deben convertirse en lugares donde los alumnos puedan vivir experiencias de aprendizaje y no solo escribirlas. Con esto no solo se consigue una escuela más divertida, se conseguirá que los niños aprendan a vivir y no solo a poner tildes en algunas palabras de las que seguramente no conozcan su significado, es decir, se conseguirá que los alumnos aprendan de verdad, porque los seres humanos aprendemos de nuestras vivencias y no de lo que nos explican con palabras abstractas, y mucho más los niños. En otras palabras, los niños son esponjas, pero a las que no se les puede echar jabón sin el agua necesaria, ese agua son las experiencias. El jabón ya vendrá después. Después ya vendrán todos aquellos detalles que se pueden analizar de las situaciones o de la propia lengua a enseñar.

Por cierto, ya que esta publicación tiene relación con la educación, no me gustaría acabar sin antes animar a aquellas personas que se dedican a la educación o quieren hacerlo en un futuro que por favor recuerden este frase: ''No por dar más cosas los niños saben más''. Y digo esto porque cada vez hacen más largos los libros de texto y los profesores quieren acabar cuanto antes el temario, pero quizás cuando pasan de tema no se hayan parado a preguntar: ¿Creo que mis alumnos han aprendido de verdad? Seguramente no podrán contestar a esta pregunta si el examen solo ha sido de preguntas escritas, sin ver el progreso, los fallos necesarios y las experiencias que deberían vivirse de cada aprendizaje.

Respecto a los libros de texto, otro aspecto que no entiendo. Queda muy bonito decir que por ley la obligación del maestro es responder a las necesidades educativas del alumnado, pero si esto fuera así no existiría el libro de texto estandarizado, ya que cada niño y clase es diferente, tiene unos gustos y necesidades que el libro seguramente no las cumplirá jamás. En fin, solo es un NEGOCIO más de este mundo egocéntrico, donde al colegio suele importarle más conocer todas las ofertas electrónicas que pueden venir en el pack al escoger una editorial u otra. Si la editorial regala 5 ordenadores seguro que esa será la más ''ADAPTADA'' a sus necesidades, no a la de los niños.

Creo que se ha notado, estoy un poco en contra del libro de texto. Con esto no quiero decir que no se use, puede ser una gran herramienta en el aula, pero para el maestro, y quizás algunas páginas para los alumnos, pero considero que el profesor debe seguir los siguientes pasos para organizar su clase y sus temas:

1- Conocer los gustos e inquietudes de sus alumnos.

2- Relacionar los anteriores con los temas de actualidad y los temas que son necesarios para desarrollar una vida feliz y con visión crítica.

3- Plantear situaciones cotidianas en cada tema, donde se desarrolle la escritura, el habla y el saber escuchar a los demás.

4- Examinar a los alumnos durante todo el proceso y finalmente mediante posibles actividades evaluativas, sin necesidad de hacer un examen frustrante que solo sirva para memorizar y vomitar.

5- Comunicarse con los alumnos para mejorar los próximos temas, dejar que ellos también cojan el ''TIMÓN'' de la clase.

6- NO PASAR DE TEMA si no han aprendido, es mejor profundizar en pocos temas que haber dado muchos temas sin existir aprendizaje.

7- Norma más importante: Motivar a los alumnos, hacer que disfruten aprendiendo.

Hello again, I would like to share with you an event on Tuesday, from which we can reflect about education. Anyway, he had taken the subway to go to my job as every day, here I was reading a book. At this moment I looked up from my book and saw the child, he wanted go out of the car and the mother was ready to untie.

All followed the boy approached his parents didn't know where he could sit. Then, I stood up and left my seat, I stood gripping the typical ironwood. Now the child was who seemed to be reading, he kept looking at me as if I had become the book that I had stopped reading.

After two stops there happened something unexpected, rose an old lady and the child's mother wanted give up her seat but the old woman told her that it wasn't necessary. Then, the child who perhaps was less than 3 years old rose from his seat without saying a word, he looked at the old woman to be realized already had a seat and finally sat on his mother.

Perhaps you consider it is a silly, to me it wasn't. At that moment I realized that the gesture of getting up hadn't only been for the child had a seat next to his mother at the time but had also taught him that when someone takes more than ourselves must be willing to help with everything at our disposal. Above all, I found it surprising that this became a chain and more that this was done with the action of a child who hardly knew the talk express.

Apart from anything nice and thoughtful who has this little experience we can look much further and move this idea to education in general. Schools should become places where students can live learning experiences and not just write. This is not only a fun school is achieved, will ensure that children learn to live and not just to put accents on some words that certainly do not know its meaning. In other words, there will ensure that students learn really, because humans learn from our experiences and not when they explain our with abstract words and more children. Kids are like sponges, but they couldn't take their soap without enough water, this water is the experience. The soap will come later. By the way, as this publication is related to education, I wouldn't end without encouraging those who are engaged in education or want to do in the future this role please remember this phrase: '' If we instruct more things to give the Children it doesn't mean that they could know more ''. And I say this because every time get longer textbooks and teachers want to get it over the agenda, but perhaps they pass the subject have not stopped to ask: Do I believe that my students have really learned? Surely they couldn't answer this question if the examination has only been written questions, without seeing the progress, the necessary mistakes and experiences should be lived in learning.

Regarding textbooks, another aspect that I don't understand. There's very nice to say that by law the obligation of the teacher is to answer the educational needs of students, but if this were like it so there wouldn't exist standardized text book, because each child and class is different, they have some tastes and needs and the book surely not ever meet. In short, it's just business over this selfish world, where the school is often matter more to know all the electronic offers that may come in the pack to choose a publisher or another. If the publisher gives 5 computers secure that this company will be the most '' ADAPTED '' to their needs, not for children.

I think it has noticed, I'm a bit against textbook. With this I don't mean that textbook musn't be used, it could became a great tool in the classroom, but for the teacher, and perhaps some pages for students, but I think the teacher should take the following steps to organize their class and their temary:

1- Know the interests of their students.
2- Relate the above with current issues and topics that are necessary to develop a critical view and happy life.
3- Live everyday situations where develops writing, speaking and listening to others.
4- Examine the students throughout the process and eventually through possible assessment activities, without making a frustrating test that only serves to memorize and vomiting.
5- Communicate with students to improve future issues, let them also catch the '' HELM '' class.
6- TOPIC NOT PASS if they haven't learned it, there is better to deepen few issues than have given many unanswered learning exist.
7- Most important rule: Motivate students to enjoy learning.
